It’s the Labor Day long weekend! Wind down and take it easy in Toronto. Ride the ferris wheel at night at the CNE, taste spicy food at an upcoming festival and catch an air show.

Speaking of hot…The Hot & Spicy Food Festival is on at the Harbourfront Centre. (Aug. 30 to Sept. 2, 2013) This festival focuses on fiery food, music, dance, family activities and film from cultures across the globe. Pick up some spicy sauces from the Red Hot Market, or cheer on your favourite at the 10th annual International Iron Chef Competition. For more events and details, click here.

The Cronut burger may be no more, but there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the last weekend of the CNE (Aug. 30 to Sept. 2, 2013). Indulge in some deep fried butter, check out the alpacas in the Farm building and go shopping in the International Building and the Outlet stores. Click here to see what’s on during the weekend.

Look up…way up at the Canadian International Air Show. (Aug. 30 to Sept. 2, 2013) Watch daring stunts and amazing feats of skill. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds and acrobatic daredevil Mike Wiskus will keep you glued to your seat. Admission is free with CNE tickets. Click here to find out more.
