It’s understood that when travellers visit Niagara Falls, they are going to see the Falls. Duh. With that said, I have found myself struggling for what to do in Niagara Falls after an hour or so there and that’s when I came across the O Canada Eh? Dinner Show.
Now in its 20th season, the stage show is Canada’s longest-running musical dinner production and features a singing Mountie, Anne of Green Gables, a hockey player and basically every other tongue-in-cheek Canadian stereotype that you can think of. The night of hilarity also includes a five-course family-style meal and great Canadian music as well. The music ranges from maritime folksongs to patriotic favourites and rock n roll as well.
O Canada Eh? has been voted as the Niagara Falls attraction of the year seven times and its mandate includes urging Canadians to proud of where they live and where they are from.
The best part is that the dinner is also a featured part of the show. As you are enjoying the live entertainment, the cast serves you your meal that is, as expected, completely Canadian. It features French Canadian pea soup, “Grade Eh” roast beef, fresh Atlantic haddock, roast chicken and maple chocolate swirl cake.
