One of the most anticipated television events is just around on the corner and if you have never seen an episode of Breaking Bad, New York’s Film Society is giving you a chance to get out from the rock that you have been living under.
From Friday July 26 to Tuesday July 30, the Film Society is screening every episode of AMC’s groundbreaking series with one season airing in full per day.
The show is the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with one of his former students, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), with the aim of securing his family’s financial future before he dies.
The series has won seven Emmy Awards including three consecutive wins for Best Actor for Cranston and two wins for Best Supporting Actor for Paul. It has received four nominations for Outstanding Drama Series.
The screenings take place at The Amphitheater (144 West 65th Street, New York NY).
