Veterans Day Activities In Boston

Veterans Day is a chance to honor and appreciate the service provided by the nation’s family and it is also a time to spend time with your loved ones.

There are a varity of family-themed events in the Boston area for you to check out with your kids.

Here is a quick rundown of the Veterans Day activities in Boston.

Veterans Day Family Weekend: USS Constitution Museum
Charlestown Navy Yard
November 11 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Celebrate military vets by visiting the USS Constitution Museum and finding out what sailors went through. One of the main highlights is learning about the struggles that the crew of the “Old Ironsides” faced during the War of 1812. There is a suggested donation of $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and $2 for children. More information is available at

Free Admission For Veterans: Stone Zoo
149 Pond St., Stoneham MA
November 11 – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

One of the most popular exhibits at Stone Zoo is the popular black bear exhibit that features Smoky and Bubba. Children can take the Yukon Creek marked path the check out the bears and a wide variety of other animals. It’s free admission for vets. More information is available at

Veterans Day Crafts: The Children’s Museum
9 Sullivan Ave., Easton MA
November 11 – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Kids can enjoy making red, white and blue hats, headbands, noisemakers and pom-poms in this crafting extravaganza at the Children’s Museum. The Star Spangled Banner will be in full effect and admission is only $7.50 or free for museum members. More information is available at
