Known as Canada’s biggest hotel, with a long-standing history, the Delta Chelsea Toronto hotel is undergoing a re-birth.

Starting July 1st 2013, the 1,590-room hotel will be re-branded as the Eaton Chelsea.

Centrally located near both College and Dundas TTC subway stations, the Chelsea (33 Gerrard Street West, Toronto ON), features a spa, family-friendly areas including an indoor pool (with water-slide), and plenty of parking. It’s also just steps from Dundas Square, the Eaton Centre and other shopping areas, including Queen West, a number of theatres, bars and other nightlife.

A multi-million dollar renovation project is underway, refreshing the exterior, upgrading restaurant and meeting rooms, and refurbishing the lobby.

Previously owned by Hong Kong’s Great Eagle Holdings for almost two decades – it is now repositioned under its subsidiary, Langham Hospitality Group, which manages a number of hotels in Asia and the Middle East.

“We are excited to now share a design philosophy of smart, modern and uncomplicated interiors and an enthusiastic “can do” service culture” says Josef Ebner, Regional Vice President and Managing Director of Eaton Chelsea, Toronto.

Open since 1975, the Chelsea is a well-known and well-liked venue. At last check, the Delta Chelsea had over 2018 reviews on TripAdvisor.com, and an overall rating of 3.5 stars (as of May 2013).
