Here are some of the free and cheap weekend events things to do in Boston and beyond for the first full weekend in September:
Celebrate Boston Charter Day: Saturday, September 7, 2013. Commemorate the naming of Boston, Dorchester, and Watertown and discover the lost history of pre-revolutionary Boston! Admission to the Old South Meeting House will be free all day (for Mass residents) as well as the Boston Founders Trail Walking Tour will host a free two-hour tour at 5pm. RSVP here for Boston Founders Trail.
Bank of America’s Museum on Us Weekend: Saturday and Sunday, September 7-8, 2013. Bank of America & Merrill Lynch cardholders can get into select museums the first weekend of every month for free by showing their bank card (per cardholder, not family).
