Extreme sports are only increasing in popularity and Supercross is at the top of the list.
The motorcycle racing sport involving off-road motorcycles competing against each other on artificially-made dirt tracks consisting of different jumps and obstacles attracts a wide-range of audiences from kids to grandparents alike and is the perfect family activity.
As we told you earlier in the week, Supercross returns to Toronto’s Rogers Centre this Saturday but we have a special advance treat for racing enthusiasts who have had the date circled in red on their calendar for months and for new fans who might be on the fence about checking out the action this weekend.
The Weekendtrips team received the chance to interview Canadian racer Cole Thompson on Thursday in advance of his homecoming at the Rogers Centre on Saturday.
In addition to providing a better idea about what the sport consists of and providing an update about his shoulder injury, Thompson also talked about how his family feels about his career choice and the injuries he has incurred. I asked him whether Supercross racers get more girls and he also told us about what he likes to do when he isn’t racing.
Check it out!
