With FIFA World Cup 2014 less than a year away, Weekendtrips had to hoist up this stunning time-lapse of Rio de Janeiro produced by SCIENTIFANTASTIC after a quick stumble.
Rio is the capital city of the State of Rio de Janeiro, the second largest city in Brazil, and third-most populous in South America; boasting 6.3-million people inside the city borders.
The footage below highlights both Rio De Janeiro and the famous Iguazu Falls – a waterfall along the border of the Brazilian state of Parana and the Argentinian province of Misiones.
In 2011, Iguazu Falls was announced one of the seven winners of the New Seven Wonders of Nature by the New Seven Wonders of the World. And look, SCIENTIFANTASTIC catches a rainbow hovering over just after the storm — caught all on camera.
