Chicago is a city that knows how to throw a party – as so there are many different options for celebrating while ringing in the New Year:
- Family-appropriate: Berghoff is hosting a family-friendly NYE party, with food, drinks, and activities for both kids and adults. Adult tickets are $60, chiclren aged 2-12 $17.
- Party hard: If you are looking for a good party, Glascott’s Groggery’s NYE celebration has New Year’s even with an Irish flare. Tickets are $65 and includes appetizers, open bar and champagne. Bodi Nightclub offers an upscale party thrown by none other than Hennessy, and featuring DJ Sye Young. The party starts at 8pm and goes until 4am. Tickets start at $40, but plan on shelling out a bit more if you want a table reservation or bottle service. Or if staying in one venue is not your thing, try Chicago’s Pubcrawl (offered at pubcrawl.com).
- Fireworks: Fireworks at Navy Pier start at 12 midnight. For a good place to catch the show while also getting your drink on, try Crystal Gardens: for the last 7 years this location has been hosting parties on NYE – and they have a private terrace where party-goers can watch the fireworks.
- Something different: The Metropolis Ball promises “a seductive night of burlesque, music, art, physical theatre” and more. Open bar, 32 performers, 3 DJs. Tickets though, will set you back at least $100 (and that’s just the starting price).
