To drink or not to drink, is that even a question?

New York City is known for being the city that never sleeps and also serves as the site for some of the most unique events in the world. The Big Apple has done it again with ShakesBEER: The Original Shakespearean Pub Crawl, taking place this Saturday, February 23.

The works of the famous English playwright come together with everyone’s favorite adult beverage in what must be the first-of-its-kind-pub-crawl. Four bars serve as settings for scenes plucked from some of the most famous scenes in literature. Examples include:

– The balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet
– Different verses from Twelfth Night & The Comedy of Errors
Hamlet’s monologue

The theme is just to sit back and have a good time. You can buy drink tickets that at any of the pubs.

Participating bars include Beckett’s Bar & Grill (81 Pearl St., New York City NY), Ulysses (95 Pearl St., New York City NY), Killarney Rose (127 Pearl St., New York City NY), and The Dubliner (45 Stone St., New York City NY).
