If you’re a Weekendtripper in Toronto, touring through the Kensington Market area, searching for a coffee shop to rest your tired feet and mind, swing by Café Pamenar — a relaxing getaway from the Kensington Market jungle.
Located on 307 Augusta Avenue, just before College Street, beckons a contemporary industrial ambiance. Here, you’ll find a crowd a bit more alternative than your average Starbucks, yet, not quite as boho as Moonbean or other Kensington Market cafes — the perfect environment for a Weekendtripper like you.
Its grey concrete interior meshes well with its re-purposed wooden tables and counter tops. Indeed, Cafe Pamenar is one of the more well-thought out cafes in the neighbourhood, envisioned by owner Pouria Lotfi.
As per prices? All are similar to coffee shops within the area: cappuccino’s and lattes are $3.57; macchiatos are $3.10, shots are $2.38; fresh press goes for $2.14.
Coffee shop hours are: Monday – Saturday 9a.m. – 7p.m.; Sunday 10a.m. – 6p.m.
