How does this sound? How about we forget all about the, “who gave who” the free Friday day off and we start on the right foot?

Deal. Because here at Weekendtrips, we don’t allow minor disappointments ruin our day.

In other words, when others find disappointment (like today) we find opportunity.

When others see cloud and rain, we see the city’s coolest cafes, restaurants, art exhibitions, and shopping malls.

When others see “snow fall” we see our snowboards, snow shoes, hockey sticks, live performances, and even comedy shows if the card’s good — which brings me to this weekend.

If you’re looking for a good laugh, you’ll want to check out the Chris Timms comedy show at the National Arts Center, Fourth Stage tomorrow at 7:30PM.

Here, you’ll find Ottawa’s top up-and-coming comedians, such as: Matt Watson, Jimmy Cassidy, Ed Gougeon, Adrian Cronk, Mike Beatty, and headliner Geoff Mackay.

And to add more flavour to your night, similar to David Letterman and Paul Shaffer, Chris Timms will be accompanied with live pianist Andrew Watson and will feature musical guest Peter Voith; marrying Canadian comedy with Canadian music, everything you want in a weekend and more.

Tickets go for $25 bucks a pop and are available at the NAC box office or Ticketmaster.
