New York is the city of lights, excitement, and of course — the 2013 International Auto Show — at least between March 29th to April 7th.
And akin to most International Auto Shows, this year’s 2013 Auto Show promises to get your heart pumping and blood flowing, all ready to trumpet a common theme: Behold, the all-electric car, coming in all shapes and sizes — engines ready?
Once you enter the doors, you can’t help but head over and step into one of the many Mercedes Benz’ — they introduced a huge selection of all-electric cars this year.
But an all-electric car could do so much, especially when you feast your eyes on a Lamborghini, Bugatti and Lotus — which never gets old at the auto show. BMW also introduced their Concept Active Tourer, which is a new plug-in hybrid concept that brings together comfort and functionality as well as their new 3 Series Gran Turismo and the diesel-powered BMW 328d.
If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, head down to level 3 and check out the Chevrolet vehicles which includes the new Corvette Stingray Convertible and Camaro ZL1. Electric cars were pushed hard this year, when you stepped outside, electric cars were available for attendees to ride on as a tour guide explained more about the new electric cars coming into the market.
I had an amazing experience with Camp Jeep’s off-road courses, offering thrilling rides in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler Rubicon and the Unlimited Model. Unfortunately, they don’t let you drive, however, the driver takes you for a spin and gives you information on how the vehicle handles.
The International Auto Show is going on from March 29th to April 7th and is located at the Javits Center and you can get tickets at the official International Auto Show website or you can buy them in person at the ticket booth.
