Edison Memorial Fountain - Grand Circus Park

The Grand Circus Park (1601 Woodward Ave, Detroit MI) in downtown Detroit connects the theatre district with the financial district. It is bisected by Woodward Avenue and is four blocks north of Campus Martius Park.

The Grand Circus Park region was designated as a historical district in 1983 and is highlighted by The Edison Memorial Fountain (created to honor Thomas Edison and his achievements). The fountain was reassembled to mark the 50th anniversary of the electric lamp.

Locals suggest sitting on the east side of the park to enjoy lunch as you can see the Detroit Tigers’ scoreboard at the adjacent Comerica Park.

A simple Weekendtrip idea, the Grand Circus park is the perfect stopover point before checking out a show or a baseball game.
