It’s all about dads on Father’s Day this Sunday at the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston. There’s free admission for the homo sapiens fathers, and special attention for the animal fathers who are zoo residents.
Be sure to say hi to Kitombe (Kit), the western lowland gorilla who lives at the zoo with his daughers, and James, a zebra who resides with his offspring Nemo.
If dad can’t wait until Father’s Day to check out the animals, visit on June 13 for Enrichment Day – it’s a chance to watch your favorite animals get the treats and toys they like most.
The Franklin Park Zoo is open 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on weekdays, and 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on weekends. Adult admission is $17 (except on Father’s Day, of course), and kids get in for $11.
