If you’re looking for something to fill out your Labor Day long weekend in the Windy City, and like great music, Chicago’s Jazz Fest is getting its good vibes and great sounds ready.
In its 35th year, the Chicago Jazz Festival is one of the most anticipated events in the city and Millennium Park will be transformed into a bluesy epicenter as the Festival moves over from Grant Park. Featured artists at this year’s installment include drummer Hamid Drake who performs each day of the Festival, in a trio (Ganz Hall, August 29 at 5 p.m.), Bindu (Pritzker, September 1 at 6:10 p.m.), and Rudresh Mahanthappa (August 31).
The event runs across various Chicago venues and the best part is that admission is free.
