If you’re looking for a way to jumpstart March Break, there is no better option than Disney On Ice.

There are concurrent shows planned for both Toronto and Hamilton and here’s everything you need to know.

Toronto

Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After

Featuring an all-star lineup of Disney characters, the brand-new show features scenes from all of your childrens’ favourite animated movies including BRAVE, Tangled, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast. There are nine chances to see the show at Rogers Centre (1 Blue Jays Way, Toronto ON) that all take place from March 13-17.

Rockin’ Ever After is described as a magical showcase. Kids will love seeing an on-ice recreation of the Beast attempting to win over Belle, Sebastian losing his shell for one-night-only to perform with Ariel, different contenders from Brave attempting to woo Merida with a Scottish jig and a showstopper from Tangled’s Rapunzel and Flynn.

In addition to the show, Disney On Ice is also presenting a “Rockin’ & Reading Book Drive” on March 15 from 2-3 p.m. at the Rogers Centre in support of the Children’s Book Bank (a charity that provides free books and literary classes to children in low-income families).

Families are invited to drop by Rogers Centre, at 2 pm with new children’s books. The first 300 people to donate one book each will receive one ticket voucher* to a Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After performance of their choice. In addition, book donors will have a chance to meet Beauty & The Beasts’ princess Belle, and watch a live production number from Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After.

The “Rockin’ & Reading Book Drive” schedule is as follows:

1:30 p.m. – Families line up for access to Rogers Centre outside Gate 7
2 p.m. – 2:20 p.m. – Book drop, Meet & Greet with Belle
2:30 p.m. – 2:35 p.m. – Production number from the show
2:35 p.m.-3:00 p.m. – Book Drop continues

*Ticket vouchers are available for the first 300 people. There is a limit of (one) 1 voucher per person (excluding VIP and rinkside seats). Once 300 vouchers have been distributed, fans will be able to purchase tickets at a special one-day discount, saving $5.00 per ticket (excluding VIP and rinkside seats).

Tickets for Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After are available at the Rogers Centre Box Office, at ticketmaster.ca, or by calling 1-855-985-5000.

Hamilton

Disney On Ice also presents Treasure Trove

Taking place in Hamilton’s Copps Coliseum (101 York Blvd., Hamilton ON) from March 14-17 for 9 performances, Treasure Trove is similar to the Toronto’s Rockin’ Ever After, but is also quite different in terms of story. In Treasure Trove, the focus is primarily on beloved Disney characters of yesteryear. There is a tribute to famous Disney princesses including Tiana, Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Mulan, and Snow White. There is a section dedicated to a Peter Pan adventure complete with Tinker Bell and Captain Hook. If your kids prefer a warmer climate, the stars of Lion King (Simba, Nala, Pumbaa and Timon) also make an appearances for a ‘Circle Of Life’ number.

Ticket prices range from $14 – $60 (Rinkside).

Tickets for Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove in Hamilton are available at the Copps Coliseum Box Office and at ticketmaster.ca.
