Knock on those doors, call your friends, and find your sexiest pair of underwear, Cupid’s Undie Run Detroit is a rebel with a cause.
The “1-ish” mile hits the streets this weekend (February 9th 2:30 p.m.) and challenges everyone — along with their wallets and physique — to a skimpy jog dedicated to help raise money for a good cause: The Children’s Tumour Foundation’s Neurofibromatosis (NF) Fundraiser.
The event mixes Valentine’s Day iconography, NF philanthropy, along with brave men and women who love to flaunt what momma gave them — as they say in the marketing, “sex sells.”
What is Neurofibromatosis?
NF is a disorder of the nervous system (brain and spinal cord) that affects the development of nerve cell tissues. Patients with NF are incredibly susceptible to tumors which develops on nerves creating abnormalities like: skin pigmentation disorders; bone deficiencies; pressure on spinal nerve roots, as well as other neurological problems.
Supporting children with NF
The event gathers hundreds and thousands of supporters from all over the world, splashing headlines, creating enormous good will and buzz. The Children’s Tumor Foundation is considered as one of the leading NF advocates in the world. They’re not crazy, just crazy serious about raising money for the Children’s Tumor Foundation.
