If a craft show is what it takes to stir your coffee, this weekend’s Creativ Festival is your Eden.
Hand-crafted items will be prominently featured at the expo with particular attention being paid to beading, knitting and everyone’s perennial favorite, quilting. The Festival aims to attract both crafters and non-crafters alike and takes place at Toronto’s International Centre (6900 Airport Road, Toronto ON) on April 26 and 27.
In addition to the merchandise that is available, the Creativ Festival also offers free seminars and workshops.
Particular highlights include:
– An appearance from the host of HGTV’s She’s Crafty and The Marilyn Denis Show’s on-air DIY expert Wendy Russell
– Rowan Alchemy Exhibit presented by Amy Butler that features “supple rayon challis, silky sateen, flowy voile and buttery velveteen fabrics” all designed to work in conjunction with each other in an exhibit presented by Amy Butler.
– Winner of the Designer Style Challenge: Knitting & Crochet, Anna Stoklosa teaches continental knitting and allows attendees to sample red heart yarn.
