Choose Your Own Adventure, Some Other Mettle, Isn’t A Rock Show

Some Other Mettle

Philadelphia’s own Applied Mechanics transfers its 2012 Fringe Festival piece Some Other Mettle to the Annenberg Center as part of its By Local Series.

The show is described as a choose-your-own-adventure theatrical experience where many scenes occur simultaneously and the audience can actually walk inside the performance space.

Some Other Mettle is the seventh installation-style theatre piece that Applied Mechanics has created. It’s the story of five stout-hearted underdogs from five different places of the world who unite to solve the puzzle of a mysterious prophecy.

Applied Mechanics explores the relationship between bodies and space and constantly challenges traditional theatre.

Performances take place on February 8 at 7:30 p.m. and February 9 at 7:30. Tickets range from $20-30 and can be purchases at AnnenbergCenter.org, by calling 215-898-3900 or in person at the Annenberg Center Box Office. For more information, check out the official site
