If you are looking to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles there is wide range of events going on to suit everybody, whether your are seeking family fun or a wild time. Here’s some of the best on offer:

Tickets start at $20 with discounts for groups.
The Annual Black & White Ball will be hosted at The Viceroy Hotel (1819 Ocean Ave, Santa Monica, 90401). KCRW radio DJs Jason Bentley, Travis Holcombe and Mario Cotto will be spinning poolside – while you feast on decadent hors d’oeuvres from the hotel’s Executive Chef, Tony DiSalvo. Tickets are $175 with VIP available.
Roll in the new year at LA’s legendary rock club The Roxy (9009 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, 90069) with all star cover band Camp Freddy & Friends – Dave Navarro, Billy Morrison, Chris Chaney and Josh Freese. Hosted by TV host and Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath, tickets are $100 each with VIP packages available.
The Queen Mary (1126 Queens Highway, Long Beach, 90802) will be launched out of retirement for one night only with The Ultimate New Year’s Eve Voyage. Passengers will be transported to the vibrant streets of India, experience carnival in Brazil, the daring Moulin Rouge in France and the dazzle of Times Square in New York – all without ever leaving Long Beach. The sights, sounds and tastes of the evening will transport guests throughout the night, climaxing in fireworks as the Queen Mary visits its birthplace, Clydebank in Scotland. Tickets begin at $99 with the ‘Tourist Class’ boarding pass.
If family friendly fun is more your style then there are two great events happening Downtown and at the beach. Downtown’s Grand Park will be seeing in the new year with musical performances, art installations, and large-scale animated projections. This event is free and will feature plenty of food trucks to keep everyone going till midnight.
At the beach, the city of Hermosa Beach will be holding their free family-friendly New Year’s Eve Celebration at Pier Plaza (Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach, 90254). The festivities will feature two countdowns to the New Year with the live ball drop in Times Square New York at 9pm and the second countdown at midnight local time. Lou Giovannetti and his Big Band will entertain the crowds with American Big Band classics.
