Canadian Comedy Awards Festival Set To Take Over Ottawa

If you could use a good laugh to escape from the rigor of everyday life, the nation’s capital has just the ticket.

The Canadian Comedy Awards Festival features several big ticket shows and feature a variety of headliners. This year’s even takes place from October 3-6 at a variety of Ottawa venues including the Absolute Comedy Club (412 Preston St., Ottawa ON), Yuk Yuk’s (292 Elgin St., Ottawa ON), Arts Court (2 Daly Ave., Ottawa ON), Centrepointe Studio (101 Centrepointe Drive, Ottawa ON).

The Canadian Comedy Awards Festival was founded by the Canadian Comedy Foundation for Excellence, a not-for-profit organization. The event aims to both celebrate and grow Canadian comedic talent.

The event is hosted by Alan Thicke and features Harland Williams, Nikki Payne, Mark Forward and Sean Cullen.

There are other shows on the Festival bill as well. The Ottawa Show features headliners Tom Green, Jon Dore, Mike MacDonald, Rebecca Kohler and Jeremy Hotz.
