on November 26, 2013

If you’re not sure what to do in Boston, there are great pieces to see and The Emerald Necklace is a great place to start.

While the destination sounds more like a green piece of jewelry worn around the neck, the Emerald Necklace is actually a destination that consists of of six parks that circle six miles in Boston’s western neighborhoods.

These parks include The Back Bay Fens, Riveryway, Olmstead Park, Jamaica Park, Arnold Arboretum and Franklin Park. Access to the first park is available near the Museum of Fine Arts on Boylston Street.

The parks all include flowers, shrubs, bridges and the Franklin Park zoo.
