While New York is known for its film festivals, there is one in particular that would be perfect to take your kids to.
The New York International Children’s Film Festival was founded in 1997 to promote intelligent and provocative movies for kids between the ages of 3-18. It is now the largest film festival for children and teens in North America.
Each year, the Festival puts on 100 live action, experimental, animated and feature films from around the world. That’s in addition to the usual Festival fare of gala premieres, filmmaker Q&A’s, workshops and the NYICFF Awards Ceremony.
The Festival takes place from March 1-24 and more information is available at gkids.com
