2013 Guide To Trick-or-Treating In Detroit

Chilly temperatures, hot cider and pumpkins galore. There’s no denying it, Halloween is just around the corner! To help you make the most of this frightful night, we have compiled a list of the fun things that are brewing around The D this Halloween and here is our 2013 guide to trick-or-treating in Detroit.

Allen Park: Trick-or-treating is Oct. 31 and there are no scheduled hours. The annual downtown Allen Park Halloween celebration is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Park Ave. in front of McNally’s Shoes.
Auburn Hills: Trick-or-treating is Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The annual downtown Spooktacular is Saturday, Oct. 26 from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Birmingham: Trick-or-treating is Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Bloomfield Township: Trick-or-treating is Oct. 31 and there are no scheduled hours.

Brighton: Trick-or-treating is Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Clarkston/Independence Township: Trick-or-treating is Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Detroit: Trick-or-treating in the city of Detroit is Oct. 31, generally from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The city will enforce an emergency curfew requiring all minors age 17 and under be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (with identification) starting at 6 p.m. The 24th Annual “Safety Street” event is Friday, Oct. 25 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the University of Detroit Mercy.

Ferndale: Trick-or-treating is Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Grosse Pointe: Trick-or-treating is Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The village Halloween parade and costume contest is Thursday, Oct. 31 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
